Cindy is a former national class race walker and is the store's walking coach, appreciated for her expert guidance and positive spirit.

FUN RUNS & WALKS | Just for Fun with FR&W! - FREE

Just for fun, we plan some friendly get-togethers for all runners and walkers. These aren't races, but they are fun gatherings so that we can enjoy each other's company and our beautiful surroundings!

Earth Day + 1 Fun Run & Walk
Thursday, April 23rd, 6PM
Explore the centrally located, but sparsely used trails of the Civic Field Park and adjacent Whatcom Creek Trail. See how this devastated area has sprung back to life. Meet in the lower ball field parking lot on the corner of Fraser and Puget Streets. We’ll leave promptly at 6:05 PM. Approx. 30-40 min.

Run for the Teddy Bear (Cove that is)

Meet at the Interurban Trail Rotary Trailhead parking lot off Old Fairhaven Parkway. We'll make our way to and from Teddy Bear Cove via the Interurban Trail, Arroyo Park and Teddy Bear Cove trail. Run will be 5-6 miles.

Weekly Drop-in Runs & Walks - FREE

With these free drop-in runs and walks, you're never far from friends who will hit the trail with you. All start at the store, unless noted. Questions about routes or paces? We're happy to help. Just call or e-mail us (contact info at top of page).

All Paces Run |Tuesdays, 6 PM
Get fit, get inspired and have fun! Led by store staff and volunteers, runs are 20 minutes out and back on two key routes, by the water or through the woods. Participants are divided into groups ranging from run/walk to seven minute pace. “The All-Paces Run warms my heart. Thanks!" - Ria. "Just wanted to thank you for putting on these runs. Tuesdays | Workout 5:30 PM
Join the fun for a planned workout (or one of your own) on the track. Meet at Sehome High School parking lot. Steve Grichel is the leader. E-mail runners@FairhavenRunners.com for his contact info.

Wednesdays | Evening Epic Run 6 PM
Strenuous runs of 1.5-2 hours on hilly terrain with experienced trail runners (recently featured in the Bellingham Herald!). Often epic.

Thursdays | Show Up & Meet Up Run 6 PM
Plan to get together with your regular running buddies or meet some new friends. On this run you'll get the opportunity to take the lead in deciding where and how far you want to go.

Saturdays | Fairhaven Walking Club 8 AM
This drop-in walking group is for all levels, from those who want to improve to those who want to compete in races. All paces are welcome. Led by former national-class race walker Cindy Paffumi, who makes sure that all walkers feel included. Drop in for walks listed below! TUESDAY NIGHT CLINICS | One-on-One Injury Prevention

Is That Ol' Body Up for Your Spring Fitness Goals?!
Tuesdays, 6–8 PM
This clinic has helped hundreds get stronger, avoid injury, and improve performance!

For $15, you get one-on-one attention from great physical therapists.  They can assess your range of motion and strength, do a gait analysis to examine your biomechanics, evaluate pain or injury, and give you improvement tips.

Time slots are available second, third and fourth Tuesday evenings each month, 6-8 PM.  Call the store at (360) 676.4955 to make your appointment.

Team in Training Info Sessions: “First Fridays in Fairhaven”
Friday Evenings (listed below), 7:15 – 8 PM
LOCATION: Fairhaven Runners & Walkers
Team in Training is the world’s largest endurance training program. We train people to walk or run a half or full marathon, regardless of your athletic experience. We provide you with coaches, a training program, and inspiration in the form of an honored teammate — a blood cancer patient from Bellingham who is fighting for life.

Come learn about Team in Training, at any one of these drop-in, friendly, no-pressure, information meetings, called TNT’s “First Fridays in Fairhaven” — led by TNT staff and hosted at Fairhaven Runners & Walkers, 1209 11th Street. Join us in saving lives, one mile at a time.
