How to Improve Your Strength & Balance for Running & Walking

Resistance training is critical for maintaining healthy muscles and bones. Carol will teach you easy ways to stop the sarcopenia* train on its tracks. You don’t have to get all Arnold to build functional muscle that will serve you well on the trails and in your life. Pair that efficient resistance training program with some top-notch balance exercises and see how your stride, agility and endurance are all positively impacted. Tammy will help you better understand the mechanisms of good balance and why balance is important in everything from trails to travel. Carol & Tammy will also present tips and tricks to modify and/or progress the exercises shown so you can choose the intensity that is right for your body. Expect to learn some cool, useful stuff and have fun doing it.

Tammy Bennett is a health educator with 40 years of experience working with people in the health & fitness arena. Tammy’s newest endeavor is in-home strength & balance training for folks in the Bellingham community.
