Diana Nyad, Find a Way: The Inspiring Story of One Woman’s Pursuit of a Lifelong Dream
Event Navigation
Monday, August 6th
7pm
At Village Books
You may know Diana Nyad from her long-distance swimming feats. At the age of 64 and after four failed attempts, she became the first person to swim across the shark-infested waters between Cuban and Florida with no cage for protection.
Diana will be passing through Bellingham with her EverWalk Team on their walk from White Rock, B.C. to Seattle! We are thrilled to partner with Village Books when she discusses her work with the biggest walking initiative in America, and her memoir, Find A Way: The Inspiring Story of One Woman’s Pursuit of a Lifelong Dream. This event will be held at Village Books.

Interested in joining Diana and the group for a day? Day Trippers walk the entire 20-or-so mile route on a single day of EverWalk. Day Trippers will enjoy the lunch stop, then continue to the end of the route and a Closing Rally. After the Closing Rally each evening, there will be Campfire Stories with Diana, Bonnie, and their special guests. During Campfire Stories, the EverWalk community will share tales from the day’s journey and from their life experiences. Finally, Day Trippers will be bused back to the starting point of the day’s route. (Except Day 1, we will not be able to provide a ride back to the start on Day 1 as we will have crossed the border)
Day Trippers will receive a TShirt and Cinch Bag on their first day, at the start of the day.
